DAO issues arrest warrant against ‘journalists’

Kathmandu, March 24:
The Kathmandu district administration office has issued arrest warrant against Rajesh Kumar Batala and Chandra Rawal the so called editor and assistant editor of a vernacular weekly, Kasthamandap Express, the ward police office Lainchaur said. Both, according to the police, are not registered with the Press Council Nepal. The weekly is being published with Batala as the editor and Rawal as assistant editor, while Mohan Prasad Upadhyay Sharma has been found registered at the Press Council as the editor of the weekly. The publisher of the weekly, Deepak Manange, who was accused of involved in a murder case is at large, the police bulletin states.
Teen attacked
KATHMANDU: Sumit Regmi, 32, was on arrested for attacking Bipin Shrestha (19), a resident of KMC-12, Teku, with Khukuri. Shrestha was attacked by Regmi and his friends at Soaltee Mode at around 6:30 pm on Wednesday. Shrestha is undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital.
