Death threat for scribe

KATHMANDU: Reporter of Janadisha daily Dayanidhi Bhatta said he was issued a death threat by an unidentified group a few days ago.

In a letter issued to the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Bhatta stated that he and his kin were undergoing extreme mental torture since they received

the threat.

Bhatta has demanded that the government track down the culprits and take stern action against them. He has also appealed the Press Chautari Nepal, Press Union Nepal, Revolutionary Journalists Association and National Human Rights Concern Centre to help save his life from the criminal group. Meanwhile, the Revolutionary Journalists Association has urged the media organisations to put pressure on the government to track down the culprits.
