DIG vows action against APF cops

KATHMANDU:

Deputy Inspector General of Police, Keshav Baral, on Friday said they would bring to book the two Armed Police Force men — assistant sub-inspectors Birendra Karki and Yamnath Nepal — who opened fire at Kapan locals on Wednesday when they allegedly failed to loot money — if a complaint in this regard was filed at the concerned police office. Speaking at a press meet at the police headquarters, Baral said that they would put them in custody and pursue investigations after either a complaint is filed by “victims” or when the police’s own preliminary investigation is complete.
