Kathmandu, February 19:

Police today rounded up as many as 20 disabled demonstrators who were marching towards Baneshwor to join the seven party rally.

They were arrested from Putali Sadak- Exhibition Road intersection. Detainees belonging

to the seven-party alliance today issued a statement criticising the posture

of the administration for declining to free those detainees who are suffering from various

ailments.

Those issuing statement are Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Sashank Koirala and Sujata Koirala among others. Those who are ill in detention are NC (D) leader Gopal Man Shrestha and NC (D) General Convention member Nanda Krishna Joshi.
