KATHMANDU: Police said on Saturday they were awaiting a report from the Indra Rajyalaxmi Maternity Hospital, Thapathali, to confirm whether Dr Nageshwor Yadav raped a 20-year-old girl from Dhading on Friday. “The FIR is suspicious. We are waiting for a medical report to decide whether to charge Yadav with rape,” Dhak Bahadur Karki, SP at the Kathmandu District Police Office, said. According to the FIR, Yadav took the girl to an X-ray room of the Gangabu Community Hospital Centre in the name of conducting a medical check-up and allegedly raped her by using contraceptive. Yadav has been taken into police custody.
