KATHMANDU: Cadres of the National Youth People's Volunteers – the youth wing of the CPN Maoist-led by Netra Bikram Chand—attacked Director General of the Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE), Bharat Raj Subedi on Wednesday.

A group of six to seven persons thrashed Subedi while he was on his way to office from his residence in Balaju Height this morning, police informed. They also vandalised Subedi’s vehicle.

Police said that Subedi is receiving treatment at the Balaju-based Janamaitri Hospital.

Police said that they are searching for the perpetrators.
