DPM to attend UN meet

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Sujata Koirala is leaving for Kenya on November 29 to participate in a High-level UN Conference on South-South Cooperation there. The conference will be held in Nairobi during November 1-3. The conference is the outcome of the United Nations decision to convene one on the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Buenos Aires plan of Action for promoting and implementing technical cooperation among developing countries. All the member states of the UN as well as inter-governmental organisations with observer status with the UN General Assembly and UN specialised agencies and other entities of United Nations System will be a part of the conference.
