Early morning rain inundates at least 60 houses in Bhaktapur
BHAKTAPUR: As many as 60 houses have been inundated in Bhaktapur district due to heavy rainfall on Thursday.
It has been learnt that houses in Jagati, Bhelukhel, Ram Mandir, Barahisthan and temporary camps for earthquake survivors have been inundated after the flood water from the Hanumante River gushed into the human settlements early morning today.
After the water entered into the human settlements at around 5 am today, locals were left panic stricken and forced to flee to safer places.
The temporary camps housing some 850 earthquake survivors at the Maheshwari playground in Bhaktapur Municipality has been completely inundated.
Nepal Army and Nepal Police personnel rescued many people from the camps.
