KATHMANDU: In a bid to check the quality of education in the country, the Ministry of Education has established an Educational Quality Testing Centre (EQTC) recently.

The center has been established as per the provision of School Sector Reform Plan to check and improve the education quality throughout the country. The EQTC is currently under the coordination of joint-secretary Laxmi Khatri.

Talking to mediapersons, Khatri said that the EQTC was assigned to inspect the educational quality across the nation and would also inspect the District Education Office and Department of Education.

She said, "We shall discuss with experts and policy makers and find ways to improve the quality of education in the country.”

A concept paper would be prepared by Mid-May and that would show ways to move ahead, she added.
