Education system ‘needs a revamp’

Kathmandu, May 24:

Educationists today pointed out the need to revamp the existing education system as it has become obsolete.

Speaking at an interaction programme on ‘democratisation in education’ organised by All Nepal National Free Student Union (ANNFSU), educationist Bidhyadhar Koirala emphasised on the student centric teaching methodology.

Educationist Mana Prasad Wagle proposed that Grade I to VIII should be made the primary-level after completion of which one should pursue either general or vocational education up to Grade XII.

Mangal Siddhi Manandhar, minister for Education and Sports said, “The government should work towards providing standard education to all.”
