KATHMANDU: Police on Monday arrested eight persons on the charge of gambling from a house in Kapurdhara of KMC-26.

According to police, Shyam Sundar Nagarkoti (45) of Chandragiri Municipality of Kathmandu district and seven others were arrested red-handed from the house belonging to Til Bahadur.

Police also confiscated 16 pieces of cowries and Rs 167,975 cash from the site.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
