CHITWAN, July 26

Chitwan police on Sunday made public eight persons arrested in different incidents on the premise of District Police Office, Chitwan.

Organising a press meet in the DPO, police paraded three people involved in robbery. They are: Raju Gurung, 27, Arjun Sapkota,15, and Santosh Ranamagar, 18, They were arrested on Friday. Five others who were arrested with weapons were also made public.

SP Sahkul Bahadur Thapa, said that the arrested trio was involved in barging into a commoners’ houses and fleeing with cash and jewels at Yagyapuri and Krishnapur area of Bharatpur.

SP Thapa further added that police would file a case of attempt to murder as five persons were hurt in the attack. Police also caught five persons with weapons two weeks ago.
