Kathmandu, January 11:

Students of the Kantipur Engineering College today appealed to the students of all private engineering colleges not to take part in protests that jeopardise their future. “Protests will do no good to the students,” said Shiva Khanal of the KEC in a press release issued on behalf of all the students of the KEC today.

“We have already suffered a lot due to the postponement of Bachelors of Engineering examinations,” the release further added. The Association of Engineering Students-Nepal (AES-N) had announced yesterday that it would disrupt the BE exams under the Institute of Engineering (IOE) of the Tribhuvan Univeristy unless their demands, including the resignation of the dean, reviewal of the examination system, were met. The BE exams were scheduled to begin tomorrow.
