Enough stock of medicines for three months: APPN

KATHMANDU: The Association of Pharmaceutical Producers' of Nepal, an umbrella organisation of pharmaceutical manufacturers, has said that that there was a stock of medicines enough for three months.

Issuing a press release today, the Association said that out of the list of required medicine published by the Department of Drug Administration, 80 per cent of the medicines was produced within the country.

Saying its serious attention was drawn towards the news on the acute shortage of medicine published and broadcast by different media, the Association stated that there could be smooth supply of medicines by transporting raw materials through an alternative means even after three months.

The Association also urged the government to make the supply of petroleum products smoothly.
