Kathmandu, March 14

The Parliamentary Development Committee today directed the government to ensure that artists get royalties for their creations.

It also directed the home ministry to set up a separate Copy Right Police Cell as per the Copy Right Act 2002.

The directive was issued after artistes vehemently criticised the government for non-implementation of the Copyright Act 2002.
