Ex-envoys’ club expresses hope

KATHMANDU: The Association of Former Career Ambassadors of Nepal on Wednesday expressed hope that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s visit to India would restore trust and confidence between the two countries. Issuing a statement, the ex-envoys’ club also expressed its belief that the two sides would explore avenues for further enhancing bilateral relations. It also hailed PM’s decision to make India his destination for his first foreign trip. “The visit comes in the wake of uneasiness in our bilateral relations following enormous difficulties faced by the people of Nepal after disruption of essential supplies from India since September, 2015. The situation is still awaiting normalcy despite the resumption of supplies by India,” read the statement.
