Kathmandu, March 22:

A three-day fair promoting local innovations will be organised here for the first time from May 2.

The fair will focus on promoting farmers’ local innovation, recognising local knowledge and innovation, strengthening farmers and the farming communities in promoting their systems and lobbying with the government agencies for conducive policy environment.

The main objective of this fair would be to bring together all concerned individuals at one place and promote interaction, along with the promotion of local innovation at the national level to enhance networking among them. A local innovation support fund will also be established for those involved in technically and financially helping the farmers. The fair is being organised by PROLINNOVA Nepal Programme.
