MADHYAPUR THIMI: The government is sending out teams to monitor private schools across the country next week to see whether they have hiked fees against the government’s order not to do so.

Jeeban Sharma Paudel, deputy director, Department of Education, told The Himalayan Times today that the four teams formed yesterday would be sent to districts to check the schools’ fee structure.

He said, “Teams comprising representatives from the government, private school organisations, guardians’ associations and teacher unions will visit districts having a high number of private schools.”

Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Chitwan, Rupandehi and Kaski are among the targeted districts.

The teams from the centre will activate the fee fixation committee in the districts and inspect selected schools. One of the four teams will inspect schools in Kathmandu Valley.
