Fires claim life, gut property in Valley

KATHMANDU: Two incidents of fire that broke out in the Kathmandu Valley have claimed life of one and damaged property.

An unidentified man died after a parked minibus (Ba 1 Kha 8068) caught fire, near New Colony of Dhobighat, Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City on Thursday morning.

The fire has completely destroyed the bus, police said.

However, the cause behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Likewise, two motorcycles, with registration numbers Ba 44 Pa 3864 and Ba 52 Pa 1297, parked at Sanchaya Chok, KMC-29 caught fire on Wednesday and were destroyed.

Police put out the fire with the help of locals.

Police informed that they are investigating into both cases.
