Foreign Affairs Minister Gyawali to lead delegation to NAM conference

KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali will visit the Azerbaijani capital of Baku to attend the Non-Alligned Movement (NAM) Ministerial Conference, on April 5-6.

Gyawali is leading a delegation to the Mid-Term Ministerial Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement to be held at Baku. The theme of this conference is “Promoting International Peace and Security for Sustainable Development”, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A Senior Officials' Meeting on April 3-4 will precede the Ministerial Conference. Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations in New York, Durga Prasad Bhattarai and Counselor Surendra Thapa will accompany Gyawali to the conference.

Gyawali will later join Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in New Delhi. Oli is leaving for India on April 6 for a three day official visit.
