KATHMANDU: CPN Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has turned down to receive the 'Satya Mohan Centenary Award' announced by the Trimurti Niketan.

Dahal's Secretariat informed through a press release on Thursday about the former Prime Minister's decision.

However, Dahal respects the decision and is thankful to the organisation for its proposal to honour him, but refuses to accept the accolade, the Secretariat mentioned.

The award ceremony has been scheduled for August 19.
