Former PM to visit India

KATHMANDU: Former prime minister and chairman of Rastrya Janashakti Party, Surya Bahadur Thapa is scheduled to leave for India on Sunday afternoon.

According to Kiran Giri, press advisor of Thapa he will meet Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India, Sonia Gandhi, chairperson Congress, spokesperson of Lok Sabha, Foreign Minister, Secretary , leaders of opposition party and others during his visit. He added that the visit is a political and friendly one and that Thapa will also consult with the leaders he visits.

His son Sunil will be accompanying him on the visit.
