Kathmandu, February 22:

A special team comprising officers from the Crime Investigation Department at the police headquarters arrested four persons yesterday for producing fake documents, including fake police reports.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Hari Bahadur Pal at the Kathmandu District Police Office (KDPO), Hanumandhoka, Krishna Bahadur Jimbay a residnet of Dhukauli-6, Sarlahi, Surya Bahadur Basnet from Khotang, Prem Kumar Chaulagain from Sichuwa-5, Morang, and Deepak Tamang alias Sonam Wangduk, from Sipani-2, Kavre, were arrested from a house that had been rented by Jimbay.

Police seized fake police reports, driving licences, passport stickers, School Leaving Certificate (SLC) mark sheets, citizenship cards and various rubber stamps from the rented quarters.

The KDPO has taken permission to keep the four arrested in custody in order to file case at the Kathmandu District Court.
