KATHMANDU: Police said they arrested four Chinese nationals for their alleged involvement in illegal transaction of Nepali and foreign currencies.

A team deployed from the Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday arrested Ma Xiaojun, Bao Wei Lu, Wu Po and Chunkuan Lyu from their apartment in Thahiti, KMC-17.

Acting on a tip-off, the police team had raided their apartment.

Police seized Chinese Yuan 17,303, UAE Dirham 470, USD 62 and NRs 7.19 million from them.

They were referred to the Department of Money Laundering Investigation, Pulchok, for further investigation and action.
