Four held for gold theft from Chabahil

KATHMANDU: Police said they have arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in a theft case from Chahabil of Kathmandu on Tuesday.

The suspects have been identified as Suman Tamang (20) of Kavre, his wife Aashika (18) and Shree Krishna Kami (21).

Ram Shakya (38), operator of Chabahil-based Bhintuna Jeweller's, was also arrested for buying the stolen gold from them.

The trio had broken into the workshop of New Road-based Gorkha Jeweller's on October 24 and had stolen 10 tola gold and Rs 30,000 cash.

Police, meanwhile, also seized four tola gold from the suspects.
