Four thefts in two days in Valley

KATHMANDU: Police said four cases of theft have been reported from various locations of the Capital on Thursday and Friday.

Gold jewellery worth Rs 120,000 has been stolen from a rented room of Tek Raj Koirala and Neeta Khatiwada in Balkot of Anantalingeshwor Municipality-5, Bhaktapur, on Thursday.

The thieves broke into the house and decamped with the valuables, police said.

Similarly, thieves broke into the rented room of Bikash Shrestha and Krishna Pradhan at Sundarnagar of Thimi, Bhaktapur and stole valuables worth Rs 525,000 including Rs 285,000 cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 240,000 yesterday.

In another case, property worth Rs 620,000 and a mobile set have been stolen from a hut belonging to Dilip Karki, a permanent resident of Kulasi-8 of Ramechhap district, from his current resident at Harhar Mahadev Chok of Kageshwori Manahara Municipality-12, Kathmandu today.

Likewise, thieves broke into the unattended house of Sukadev Lamichhane and stole property worth Rs 541,000 including Rs 280,000 cash, gold jewelleriy and a laptop in Budhanilkantha-14 on Thursday.

Police are searching for the absconding suspects and investigating into the cases.
