Kathmandu, February 26:
Kalimati ward police office has arrested two persons for allegedly killing Shushil Bhujel, 17, at Sunargaon, Kalanki. Bhujel was a Grade 9 student at Gyankunja Boarding School. Police arrested Sabir Sapkota, 17, resident of Siuchatar, and Rupendra Karki, a local of Kalanki, on charges of stabbing Bhujel to death last evening.
The duo admitted they were assisted by five other persons. Inspector Uttam Subedi at the ward police office said enmity over Bhujel’s affair with a girl was the cause of his murder. According to police, Sapkota had an affair with a local girl who later left him. But Sapkota kept following her. Thereafter, the girl approached Bhujel and asked him to help her.
She even pretended to have fallen in love with him. Egged on by the girl, Bhujel tried to attack Sapkota. In the process, he got killed by Sapkota and his friends. “We have launched a hunt for the other five persons who were involved in the murder,” Inspector Subedi said.
