Kathmandu, August 11:

The Nepal Students Union, Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus chapter, today organised a motorcycle procession from New Baneshwor to Chabahil and back to New Baneshwor calling on the authorities to release student leader Gagan Kumar Thapa immediately. Irshad Ansari, a central committee member of the Nepal Students’ Union and Sabin Tamang, president of the Nepal Students’ Union Ratna Rajya Campus unit, addressing a meeting after the rally, said the students would continue their demonstrations till Gagan Thapa is released. Thapa was arrested on July 27 for chanting anti-monarchy slogans at a rally organised by Civil Society for Democracy.
