FSU council lodges complaint with TU V-C

Kathmandu, April 13:

A team of representatives of the Council of Free Students Union Nepal today handed over

a six-point charter of demands to the vice chancellor of the Tribhuvan University, Dr Govinda Prasad Sharma.

The council complained that the president of the Free Students Union of the Tribhuvan University Central Campus, Bijaya Rai, was arrested today at around 8 am from his residence.

Meanwhile, Rai, who is also convenor of the Council of Free Students Union Nepal, is undergoing medical treatment for certain problems that he is suffering in his leg.

According to Bal Gopal Upadhya, president of FSU Ratna Rajya College, the council while demanding Rai’s release closed down the central campus.

The council has demanded the immediate and forthwith release of all detained FSU members.
