Furtemba’s world tour

Kathmandu, July 31:

World cyclist Furtemba Sherpa who had begun his journey some two-and-a-half years ago, is now heading to South Korea after finishing his tour to Australia. According to Pasang Sherpa, general secretary of the May 29 Memorial Trust, Furtemba who has already visited 17 countries would go to Japan after his visit to South Korea to spread the message of peace and environment conservation. Sherpa, a resident of Sankhuwasabha, plans to visit all the countries of the world on bicycle in 14 years. The May 29 Memorial Trust has organised Sherpa’s tour.
