Gas dealers seek 3 pc cut
Kathmandu, February 11:
The Gas Dealers’ Federation Nepal (GDFN) today submitted a letter of memorandum to Digambar Jha, managing director of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), demanding three per cent commission on the sale of LPG.
Gyaneshwor Aryal, president of the federation, said, “If the NOC does not decide to provide the commission to the dealers by February 26, we will launch protests.”
Aryal said consumers were being cheated by many gas filling companies by filling lesser amount of gas in the sealed cylinders.
He said weighing system should be introduced before the consumers purchase gas cylinders.
“This will make the dealers more responsible and transparent, and the consumers will not be cheated anymore,” he added.
