Global Civil Society Dialogue for zero hunger world from June 1

KATHMANDU: The Global Civil Society Dialogue will take place in Lalitpur with an objective to seek a ground to implement the United Nations commitments aimed at ending all sorts of hunger from the world by 2030, on Wednesday.

The three-day event is being hosted by the Civil Academy, Rural Reconstruction Nepal, Civil Society Alliance for Nutrition Nepal, NGO Federation of Nepal and Right to Food Nepal.

In a press conference today, it was stated that 3.1 million children die from malnutrition across the world annually while at present about 795 million remain undernourished in the world.

It was informed that as many as 150 people are taking part in the event.

Apart from Nepal, participants from various countries including Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Myanmar, Cambodia, Tajikistan, Indonesia, Philippines, South Korea, Japan, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, and some other countries of South America, Africa and Europe will take part in the event.
