Kathmandu, February 3:

On the occasion of Shreepanchami, the day of goddess Saraswoti, students visited a number of temples, including the Neel Saraswoti temple in Tangal, Manjushri temple in Swyambhu, Saraswoti Nani in Patan and Tileshwore temple in Lele, to pay obeisance to Saraswoti, the goddess of learning.

Students wishing to excel in studies pay obeisance to Saraswoti, known as the goddess of learning, on this day.

The day is considered auspicious for organising wedding and other social and religious activities.
