Gorkha man held for swindling job aspirants

KATHMANDU: A person has been arrested on charge of swindling four persons of Rs 1.11 million assuring them of jobs in Nepal Police and Nepal Army.

A team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division nabbed Deepak Pariyar (30) from Aarupokhari-9 of Gorkha district, on charge of defrauding three men and a woman from Kusma of Parbat district.

Police said the suspect claimed that he had known high officials of Nepal Police and Nepal Army and assured Kumar Pariyar, Ajaya Pariyar, Sudeep Pariyar and Sita Sapkota of Kusma to help them find job in the security agencies.

The arrestee duped them into paying him collectively Rs 1.11 million, police said.

But when the victims knew that they were tricked, they had filed a complaint at the Metropolitan Police Crime Division.

The suspect has been sent to the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu for further investigations and actions.
