Govt committed to science research centres, museums

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, on behalf of the government, has said he is committed to construct science research centres and museums in the country.

Issuing a press statement on the occasion of World Science Day today, PM Dahal said that campaigns related to science should be consolidated and science must be used in the development of society.

Drawing his attention on the challenges faced by Nepal in the science sector and its emerging issues, he further stressed the renewal of commitments made by Nepal at the national and the international level.

The World Science day is being celebrated on Thursday with the theme 'Celebrating Science Centres and Science Museums'.

After declaration by UNESCO, the World Science Day is celebrated on November 10 every year since 2001.
