Govt declares public holiday tomorrow to mark birth of Muhammad

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to declare public holiday tomorrow to mark the birth anniversary of Muhammad Mustafa Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, the propounder of Islam religion.

According to a press statement issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday,  it has been decided to declare public holiday on Friday to mark the 1492nd birth anniversary of Muhammad.

All the educational institutions, government offices and diplomatic missions here and abroad will remain close tomorrow, it said in the statement.

The government has also decided to declare public holiday for Christmas on December 25.
