Govt flayed for disrespecting media persons

Kathmandu, October 9:

The Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) today urged the political leadership to apologise for showing “disrespect” to media persons at the summit talks venue at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar yesterday.

Expressing “concern and anger” over the “disrespect”, the FNJ, in a press statement, also urged the leadership to promise not to repeat such acts. “The incident has drawn the attention of the entire nation and the international community,” the Federation of Nepalese Journalists said, demanding that the Baluwatar incident be probed. Wishing for success of the summit talks, the FNJ urged political parties not to be adamant on any issue.
