KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Cabinet held today decided to propose former Chief Election Commissioner Neelkantha Uprety as the ambassador of Nepal to India, Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali told THT Online.

Likewise, former Nepali ambassador to Saudi Arabia Uday Raj Pandey was recommended as Nepal's envoy to Malaysia.

The Parliamentary Hearing Committee will conduct a hearing on the nominees, and on the committee's green signal, their names will be forwarded to the respective countries for an agremo.
