Govt staff’s memo to PM
Kathmandu, June 26:
Two days after the government agreed to hike the salary of civil servants by 20 per cent, a section of the government employees today handed over a memorandum to Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala. The government employees have urged the prime minister to nullify all previous agreements signed between the government and three civil servants’ associations.
The memorandum said the salary of the civil servants should be raised in accordance with what they called a “flat system” and urged the government to ensure “finance schemes” for the employees. It also demanded that the government assure “life security” for the employees.
