Govt tables roadmap of Constitution implementation at Parliament

KATHMANDU: The government on Sunday tabled a roadmap of the implementation of new Constitution at the Legislature-Parliament.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Agni Kharel had tabled the roadmap passed by the Cabinet at the Parliament meeting this afternoon.

The Cabinet meeting on Thursday had passed the roadmap to hold three elections by 2017-end for the implementation of the new constitution.

According to the roadmap, civic polls would be held by mid-December, federal polls by mid June 2017 and polls to elect members of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly would be held by November 2017.
