Govt taken to task

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress General Secretary Prakash Man Singh has blamed the government saying it was reluctant to control black-marketing.

Speaking at a tea-reception programme organised by the Nepal Students’ Union in the capital on Thursday, Singh said black-marketing and price hike were creating hardship for the people, but the prime minister was delivering irrelevant speeches instead of taking concrete steps to curb these.

Singh added that the upcoming leadership to be elected from the 13th general convention of the party would meet the aspirations of the party, cadres and the country.

The leadership should be able to tackle the problems, he added.

The NSU had organised the tea-reception programme wishing success for the upcoming general convention of the party.
