Grade XI final results expected within January 5

BHAKTAPUR: The National Examinations Board would be publishing the final examinations results of Grade XI by January 5.

The examinations were held on June 15 after deferring them citing the local level elections.

The Board had also delayed the announcement the results of the examination citing the House of Representatives and State Assembly elections.

"The answer papers have now been checked and they are being scrutinised, tallied and the marks being entered in computer. The Board is preparing to announce the results latest by January 15,"  Dambar Kumar Batas, examinations controller at the Board, was quoted in the Rastriya Samachar Samiti as saying. “The delay in publishing the results will not affect students.”

Batas said that the delay occured because the Board employees and teachers who examined the answer scripts, and professors who scrutinised the papers were deputed on election duty.

A total of 449,054 students had appeared in the exam across the country.
