KATHMANDU: A woman has died after being hit by a grader along Kalanki--Nagdhunga road section at Chandragiri-8, on the western outskirts of Kathmandu, on Sunday.

Police identified the victim as 25-year-old Junu Malla of Budinanda Municipality-5 in Bajura district, currently residing in Matatirtha of Chandragiri Municipality.

Malla, who sustained serious injuries, was rushed to Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hosital for treatment. However, she succumbed to injuries during the course of treatment at the hospital, police said.

Meanwhile, police rounded the grader operator for further investigation.
