Gun looted from cop at SAARC general secy’s house

Kathmandu: A group of unidentified men looted a gun from a police constable deployed for the security of the residence of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC)

general secretary, Lyonpo Chenkyab Dorji, at Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, last night. According to the Valley Police Office, the men armed with khukuris attacked constable Khagendra Karki at Dorji’s residence. Karki is undergoing treatment at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, police said. The incident took place at 12:30 am on Monday.
