Health Minister Pokhrel admitted to Hospital

KATHMANDU: Health Minister Giriraj Mani Pokhrel has been admitted to Bir Hospital Sunday after suffering from typhoid.

Director at Bir Hospital, Prof Dr Bhupendra Basnet, informed that Minister Pokhrel was found suffering from typhoid, and had exhibited symptoms of pneumonia as well.

Although he is suffering from throat ache, common cold and chest pain, Dr Basnet said, adding, "No need to worry; he just needs adequate rest and treatment at hospital for some three days."

Minister Pokhrel has begun taking medicine.

Senior physician Dr Surendra Shrestha is also attending Minister Pokhrel.
