High court judges sworn in

KATHMANDU: Newly appointed judges of the high courts today have taken the oath of office and secrecy amid a function here at the Supreme Court.

Chief judges of the respective high courts administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed judges.

A meeting of the Judicial Council on January 12 had recommended the names of 80 judges to seven high courts.

Chief Justice Sushila Karki on January 13 had appointed them and installed them in the respective courts.

Present on the occasion were Chief Justice Karki, Law Minister Ajaya Shankar Nayak and SC justices.
