Lalitpur, August 19:

For the last 22 years Lagankhel based mental hospital has been deprived of drinking water facilities.

Though the hospital has its own building in Lagankhel, it has been facing the lack of drinking water.

The employees, doctors and patients in the hospital are compelled to bring three tankers of drinking water three times a week from outside, said the staffers of the hospital.

“We are looking for donors for the purpose of drinking water and hopefully, we would be able to install taps within six months,” said director of the hospital, Dr Kapil Dev Upadhyaya.

He said Rs 3 million was needed to carry out the water purifying process by installing boring system.
