Hotline set up at MPCD

Kathmandu, January 6

A hotline (1177) has been set up at the Metropolitan Police Crime Division to collect information about human trafficking.

An announcement to this effect was made during a two-day investigative awareness programme under the Anti-human Trafficking and Transportation Campaign, 2016, which began in the capital today.

The programme was organised by the MPCD in association with the Metropolitan Police Circle Maharajgunj, Metropolitan Police Sector New Bus Park, Raksha Nepal and Shakti Samuha.

Addressing the programme, chief guest and MPCD in-charge SSP Sarbendra Khanal vowed to work in coordination with the concerned government and non-government agencies to curb human trafficking.
