Hungarian Ambassador Petho calls on PM
KATHMANDU: Hungarian Ambassador to Nepal Gyula Petho paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the latter's official residence in Baluwatar, Kathmandu on Friday.
During the meeting, the duo discussed bilateral relations between Nepal and Hungary, and Nepal's contemporary political issues, according to a statement issued by the PM's Secretariat.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Dahal said told the Hungarian diplomat that thousands of people's representatives would be elected in the upcoming local level elections in Nepal, expressing his hope that this would bring in political stability and increase the pace of development in the country.
Dahal further said that political parties were currently fully engaged in election campaign and people were also excited about the elections.
Mentioning about the 'Nepal Investment Summit 2017', organised in Kathmandu in March, PM Dahal said that investment-conducive environment has been created and Nepal was advancing towards prosperity.
Meanwhile, applauding the recent economic progress, the Hungarian envoy expressed his commitment to providing with necessary supports for development and political stability in Nepal.
Nepal officially began its diplomatic ties with Hungary on January 15, 1961.
