KATHMANDU: A hut was destroyed in a fire induced by electronic short circuit in Satikhel, Dakshinkali of Kathmandu on Friday.

The hut owned by Suraj Nagarkoti (35) had caught the fire, in which the structure was completely destroyed.

Police estimated the loss at around Rs 200,000.

A fire brigade assisted by locals and police had contained the fire.

Further investigation is underway.
